SBID is the official British partner of Maison & Objet and launches the competition to both SBID and non-SBID interior design professionals from around the world. The competition will measure six categories of interior design excellence:

Robin Gibb CBE, singer & song writing legend of the Bee Gees a passionate champion of the Creative Industries, leads the Judging Panel.

Other judges comprise of David Lewis and Christopher Head of Sunseeker London, Ken Baker, Managing Principal of Gensler Architects, Peter Bierwirth, President of The European Hotel Management Association and Carolina Calzada -Oliveira, Marketing Manager of the trend consultancy company Global Color Research™ publishers of Mix publications.

A specially commissioned award trophy has been created for the six design categories by Lasvit, the Czech Republic based leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke contemporary lighting and large glass art installations for some of the world's most beautiful hotels and properties.

The winners will be announced and awards presented by Robin Gibb CBE at Maison & Objet on Sunday 11th September in Paris. Applications can be uploaded online at www.sbid.org from Monday 6th June 2011. The closing date for online design submissions is August 19th 2011.
