Design recalls turn of the 20th century glamour, a golden age for palatial bathrooms – Chadder has indeed worked for Claridges among other great names - but this magnificence has a difference: it can be dismantled and flat-packed to export anywhere in the world.
Martin Chadder launched his 'Coronation' range at Decorex last month, where the finest interior crafts people show their paces.
Chadder & Co, a family business, was established more than twenty years ago, to refurbish characterful 'period' baths and basins, also to make distinguished new ones.
'Coronation' was named in honour of last year's Diamond Jubilee. When Martin Chadder was invited to Buckingham Palace for a warrant holders' party the Royal gates inspired his new mirror design. The basin frame is made from cast aluminium, then polished. Customers can order either a single or a double basin. The range is designed for easy despatch, can also be painted any colour, and Martin is planning to create another ensemble using black and gold, like those celebrated Buckingham Palace Gates.
