UK, November 07, 2008 - Following the successful launch of the Compressor in 2007, LG Electronics today introduces a new bagless cyclone vacuum cleaner to the award-winning range*. Combining intuitive design, large capacity and smart technology, the new Compressor Plus makes it even easier for consumers to maintain clean and hygienic homes.

Compact and light with soft, round curves, the Compressor Plus is ideal for those that favour the minimalist look. Designed with convenience in mind, the handle can be adjusted to make it the perfect height for everyone. Available in a variety of colours including – Metallic Blue, Metallic Red and Black - the new Compressor Plus range offers something for everyone, whatever their taste.

Another feature of this model is LG's, world-first, Dust Compression Technology which is now even more efficient. The Compressor Plus has been developed following consumer research** which found that more than 50 percent of consumers feel they empty their bagless vacuum cleaners too frequently and would appreciate extra capacity. The Compressor Plus holds more dust than competitor models as it compresses the dust collected into compact dust cubes.

Due to the larger capacity, the Compressor Plus does not need emptying as often as standard bagless vacuum cleaners. With fewer interruptions while they clean, consumers can spend less time doing the housework and more time with their friends and families.

The compressed dust cubes also mean that virtually no dust escapes back into the home when the vacuum is emptied. Accredited with the British Allergy Foundation seal of approval, the Compressor Plus features a new 10-stage filtration system which includes a Carbon-HEPA exhaust filter. This screens allergens, odors and micro-dust like cigarette smoke, perfect for homes with pets or family members that suffer from allergies or respiratory conditions like asthma.

A new Turbo Cyclone System gathers the dust collected into a single chamber before filtering which means there is less clogging and therefore better suction. Even with its significant cleaning power, the Compressor Plus is exceptionally quiet and reliable thanks to a unique motor chamber wall which reduces noise.

The Compressor Plus is available now from retailers nationwide with prices ranging between £179 to £229 (RRP). LG is also launching an upright Compressor in January 2009 so consumers can benefit from more convenient and hygienic cleaning whether they have a large or small home.
