Feast Watson Crackle Lacquer is perfect for creating one-of-a-kind statement pieces with a vintage twist. It is a specialty timber finish that gives interior timber furniture and accessories a distressed 'shabby chic' look.
The two-step process makes it easy to 'get the look,' simply brush on one coat of Crackle Lacquer top coat over Crackle Lacquer base coat and the finish will automatically crack as it dries. Unlike other crackle mediums, there is no need to rub or distress the finish, as the base coat has been specially formulated to activate the top coat to crackle.
Individual results will vary due to film thickness, application method, ambient temperature and substrate, allowing home stylists to create special interior timber projects, with a unique look.
To change the look of Crackle Lacquer, users can first stain the wood with Feast Watson Prooftint before applying Feast Watson Crackle Lacquer. The colour will show through the crackled finish, further enhancing the look.
Feast Watson's Brand Manager, Krystal Brabham, says this new product allows users to create furniture and accessories they won't be able to find anywhere else.

Crackle Lacquer is a simple two-step system, first applying the Base Coat and then the Crackle Lacquer Top Coat. Crackle Lacquer Base Coat has been specially formulated to activate the top coat to crackle as it dries. For a gloss finish, users have the option to re-apply the base coat as a third layer. Crackle lacquer is also suitable over dyes and stains.
Feast Watson Crackle Lacquer base coat is available in 500ml (RRP $29.95) and the top coat is available in 1L (RRP $34.95)
