Haberdashery Collection Launches
Poppy Treffry has introduced a neat little haberdashery collection, so everyone can start a craft project, from skilled to beginner. Home sewing is re-emerging with huge interest and the Poppy Treffry website now has all the essentials, from needles and pins, to tape measures, ribbons and tags, for when you wrap those homemade gifts for Christmas, with prices from just £1.20. These compact little items also make fantastic stocking fillers.
Poppy revitalised old Singer sewing machines to create her designs when she started her business, converting them to electric. These Singer machines are the only type that can withstand the amount of freehand embroidery each of Poppy's designs require. Every finished product is its own work of art. This summer Poppy started her craft courses to teach the basics of freehand machine embroidery and enable those who take part to come away from the day with a completed project. Each course runs from 10am to 5pm and includes lunch, £95 per person. With Christmas in mind the two courses in December will involve making a stocking.
Dates are 7th and 16th. It's a good idea to book early.
