The New Premier Power iron from Bosch 30 Mar 2010
Bosch Irons Power Up!

Bosch

Bosch has let power go to its irons' head with the latest 2010 additions to its acclaimed range, led by the stunning new Premier Power (TDA7640GB) iron and Professional Power (TDS2569GB) steam generator.

The Premier Power builds on the success of the current Which? Best Buy Power iron – the most powerful iron on the market.

With a huge shot-of-steam output of 180g/min, 40g/min of continuous steam and outstanding vertical steam (for removing creases from hanging items), as well as variable steam pressure and a water spray for tough creases, the Premier Power makes short work of even the toughest ironing.

The model's super-smooth Palladium-Glissée soleplate gives fantastic glide-ability, with Bosch's new Advanced Steam design for even better steam distribution and fabric penetration.

The Premier Power has an impressively large, rear-filling 400ml water tank and all the features that have helped to put Bosch at number one: a built-in anti-calc system for hard-water areas, easy self-cleaning, drip-stop protection, a water-level indicator, easy-grip handle, overheat protection, variable temperature control and a full three metres of power cord. All of this and, of course, Bosch's legendary quality.

If you hate ironing and want to get the job done quickly with great results, the Premier Power is the choice for you!

Or you could take your ironing into a higher league with Bosch's other addition to the Power family – The Professional Power steam-generator, the most powerful steam generator on the market. Steam generators are the choice of thousands of ironing pros and large families. But even if you aren't ironing for a large brood, a steam generator can cut ironing time in half.

The sleek, contemporary style of the TDS2569GB offers great looks; but its performance beats even the highest-spec standard irons with oomph to spare.

The handsome black Professional Power is the ultimate ironing tool, with a very fast start-up — only two minutes for the water to boil – and a large removable water tank for easy cold-water refilling. Not that you will need to fill up often: the TDS2569GB can flatten creases for over an hour on a full tank.

If you do need to refill, you don't need to stop and wait for the boiler to reheat. The boiler is continuously replenished from a cold-water reservoir as steam is used. The clever system means you don't need to go anywhere near a hot pressure-release valve either, so it's easier to fill and safer to use.

The Professional Power has 120g-min of permanent steam (horizontal and vertical) and a five-bar operating pressure. The super-smooth Palladium Glissee ceramic soleplate, the smoothest available, glides effortlessly as the steam powers through the heaviest creases.

Other key features include a soft-grip handle, extra-long 2m hose from tank to iron and removable iron pad, illuminated on/off switch, storage for the steam hose and mains cable.

The TDS2569's anti-calc system keeps it working perfectly, even in heavy hard-water areas; while “tank-empty” and “steam-ready” indicators, variable steam pressure, variable temperature control and overheat protection make this the ultimate ironing machine.

“We have had enormous success with our irons. They have repeatedly been awarded Best Buy status and our Power iron is the UK's best selling branded iron by value,” said BSH Consumer Products Sales Director Ian Nicholson.

“Even so, we are always improving our products. These are the first of several great new additions and product developments this year — all of which will enhance Bosch's reputation for what we believe are the best irons in the business.”
