Add Glamour And Textural Interest To Your Home

EASIpanel

You don't need professional decorator's skills or to be a carpentry expert to create an catching, sophisticated paint effect in your home using EASipanel's Raised & Fielded panels.

DIY expert Becky Clarke has teamed up with EASipanel to show how simple it is to achieve designer look walls.

Whether your dining room is in need of a new look or you would like to create a striking entrance hall, EASipanel offers a totally realistic woodgrain texture that can be enhanced with the use of paint, wax or varnish.

To echo the trend for monochrome looks why not add a touch of gothic glamour to your walls? Becky recommends firstly painting the Raised & Fielded panels with black, oil-based gloss to add depth and sheen to the panels.

Use a white metallic gilt cream to enhance the woodgrain texture for a decorative finish. Apply the cream evenly with a soft cloth to the grooves of the panel, any excess should be removed with a clean cloth. To finish the look of the room add a splash of highlight colour such as dramatic red using accessories and soft furnishings.

EASipanel is easy to fix too. The high quality mdf Raised & Fielded panels attach over any existing surface making it simple and inexpensive to create a sumptuous, glamorous look in no time at all.

EASipanel's Raised & Fielded design features an inset frame detail and comes in two height options: a standard 3ft (512mm x 915mm) at £8.99, and 5ft (264mm x 1,525mm) at £10.99. Complete the look with EASipanel dado moulding. One length of dado moulding covers the width of approximately two panels and costs around £3.55.

EASipanel is available from Homebase stores nationwide (tel: 0870 900 8098); selected DIY Focus stores (0800 436 436) and independent retailers (tel: 0115 911 3500) or see www.easipanel.co.uk
