The Hoarde has relaunched with a brand new website, offering great new features for members and clients and with a new design inspired by the vintage and retro antiques sold by its specialist dealer members!
First launched in 2011, by the owners of the Decorative Collective, The Hoarde is the DC's hip little sister site, designed to cater specifically for dealers of vintage, decorative and affordable 20th century antiques and to encourage new dealers just starting out.
Replicating the DC's winning formula, dealers become members of The Hoarde for a monthly fee allowing them to add unlimited stock to the website and gain access to The Hoarde's client list of young and fashionable designers, trade and private clients from across Europe and the US.
The Hoarde also offers members a storefront page – very useful for dealers who don't already have a website – as well as the facility to add blogs and video and link to social media.
For clients, the new website offers an enhanced client account, allowing clients to follow their favourite dealers and receive updates of new stock added up to 3 times a day.
New items added to the site are shown on the various category and sub-category pages and are also listed on the “Latest Items” page. A weekly, fortnightly or monthly mailshot is also sent out, providing a nice hit of extra exposure.
Jane Walton, owner of the DC and The Hoarde, says: “When we set up the DC we found ourselves turning down a lot of newer dealers who didn't fit the DC profile. We launched The Hoarde so that we could support these dealers by offering an affordable and good-looking sales platform, promoting a more diverse offering of really great antiques for a younger, more adventurous, market. We're really excited about this next new phase for The Hoarde and are delighted to be welcoming new dealers as members already.”
