Quick-Step Introduces Wood for Life Finish for Hardwood Floors

Quick-Step

Quick-Step has introduced a new varnish technology for its Hardwood floor collection.

Wood for Life is a protective varnish finish that helps protect the Quick-Step Engineered Wood range from moisture, dirt, scratches and stains.

It has always proved something of a challenge to maintain Hardwood's pristine 'just fitted' looks and with busy home life, it isn't unusual for real wood to show the marks of day to day use. Wood for Life technology counteracts this with an improved protection layer.

Each Quick-Step Hardwood plank is treated separately with a moisture-, scratch-, stain- and dirt-repellent coating that prevents dirt getting trapped in the grooves and moisture seeping into the planks. As an added benefit, the floor is easier to clean for homeowners.

Wood for Life can help to prevent the following 'battle scars' from occurring:

Dirty pores: Traditional wooden floors – unless they are lacquered – often

have a somewhat rough structure. This causes dirt and dust to get stuck, making the floor look dingy. With Wood for Life the pores are protected against dirt, preventing that dull look.

Dark edges and dust: It's not just the pores that are prone to catching dust. For many wooden floors, signs of aging are first noticeable on the edges of the planks and between joints. With Wood for Life, the dust simply doesn't get the chance to pile up in the crevices.

Dark and dirty grain: The grain is what gives the floor its unique personality. But without proper protection, it will become dark and dirty with time. Wood for Life makes Quick-Step Hardwood easier to clean and keeps dirt from infiltrating the wood surface.

White bevel: As moisture gets trapped between the joints and evaporates, it discolours the wood and damages the lacquer. The new technology in Wood for Life prevents this from happening and lets you remove dirt and moisture faster and easier than ever before.

Wood for Life sets a new standard in Hardwood flooring. From now on, thanks to this brand-new Quick-Step technology, even wood floors are able to stand the test of time and maintain their good looks for a lifetime.
