Surface Design Show

With just under 3 months to go until the Surface Design Show opens its doors to the public, registration is now live.

The Business Design Centre in London will once again play host to an eclectic mix of surfaces, finishes and materials, hosting exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, bringing together the best in class in industry. The show will welcome over 100 exhibitors this year with the return of Sway Screens, Ketley Brick, Architextures and ALPI S.p.A to name but a few.

Sway Screens, the UK's leading supplier of bespoke aluminium chain screens, will bring samples of its custom-made chain installations for residential, commercial, and hospitality environments. With product crafted in Yorkshire using anodised aluminium sourced from Europe, Sway Screens promises high quality finishes and exclusive colourways. Designed for both visual impact and practicality, Sway Screens will bring yet another striking stand to the show.

Another familiar face will be Ketley Brick, returning with its exploration into the potential of the world's oldest natural building material and its ability to create bespoke products and innovative solutions. With a rich history in manufacturing durable 'Class A' standard engineering bricks, brick slips, pavers and quarry tiles, Ketley Brick will bring samples of its products made sustainably from local clay and produced in natural kiln-fired clay colours.

Architextures is a digital material library established in Glasgow in 2020 by Scottish architect Ryan Canning. The platform aims to save time for architects and designers by enabling a community or over 500,000 professionals to find, create, edit and download materials and textures for construction and 3D drawings.

At the 2026 Surface Design Show, Architextures will showcase its core offering: a library of high-quality seamless textures using real materials for real-life applications. The primary focus is to demonstrate how its digital library helps professionals find, edit, and specify these materials with confidence. The textures are available in CAD and BIM formats and the platform offers dedicated extensions for software like SketchUp and Revit.

Based in Italy, ALPI S.p.A, is a leading manufacturer of decorative surfaces made from reconstituted wood. It's ALPIlignum veneer uses real wood that is taken apart and reassembled, creating a material so designable it offers limitless aesthetic results, establishing an undisputed gold standard in wood technology. Reflecting its synergy with the design world, Piero Lissoni has served as the art director since 2015. The company, directed by Vittorio Alpi, distributes products in over 60 countries and ensures its ALPIlignum Collection is FSC 100% certified. At SDS26, ALPI is bringing numerous new products launched in April 2025. These surfaces include ALPI Xilo Ice Flamed, ALPI Agreste Ouro and Prata and various ALPI Warp shades as well as a variety of other products.

The theme for 2026 is Material Evolution which highlights the need for a rethinking of newness and how we can create a shift from waste to worth. Material Evolution celebrates thoughtful design and redefines what it means to be new whilst championing circular systems, material transparency and inventive reuse.
