Brook Lodge, a listed building in Bath, has been thoughtfully updated with a striking contemporary frameless glass extension designed by Ask And Embla Architecture in collaboration with IQ Glass. This elegant addition reconciles historic character with the modern minimalism of structural glass, creating a sophisticated and harmonious enhancement to the original building.
The upper floor features expansive, uninterrupted glass panels joined seamlessly to frame panoramic garden views from the dining room, transitioning upwards into a fully glazed roof that fills the interiors with abundant natural daylight.
On the ground floor, aluminium sliding doors create seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity, enhanced with discreet drainage, integrated security locking, and aeration systems for optimal functionality. Solar control glazing ensures comfort and energy efficiency year-round.
The design respects and complements the building's historical character, introducing a light-filled, expansive living space that feels naturally integrated with its surroundings.
