The kitchen is a multifunctional room needing to incorporate design solutions that not only make it a comfortable and practical space to cook and dine but also a stylish environment to socialise and entertain in. Designing a kitchen versatile enough to suit all these needs can be difficult but designing a kitchen to suit an environments changing needs is even more challenging.

USM Haller Modular furniture is the ideal solution, storage units and shelving systems can be customised to meet specific needs and then reconfigured if these needs change. The freestanding nature of the units give kitchens a contemporary style whilst offering elegant storage and the perfect setting to showcase kitchen objet.

For more than 50 years USM Haller has stood for timeless design, its success is due to its simple yet ingenious design. From a few basic components a beautiful and practical piece of furniture is built which has been designed to grow with its environments ever changing needs whether that is the living room, home office, bedroom or kitchen allowing for individuality and creativity.

The origin of the modularity is a chrome ball joint, from there chrome tubes and metal insert panels allow whatever the user imagines to come to life. There are 14 classic colours to choose from ranging from a classic white to a vibrant yellow and through to a dramatic black.

The design of the USM Haller modular system is fantastically simple, however it is the Swiss precision in which the components are made that give the furniture the strength, versatility and clean lines that have made USM Haller a design classic. Launched on to the market in 1965 the USM Haller system has become a watchword for timeless design all over the world. In 1988 it was decided in Germany for the first time ever that the USM Haller furniture system is a work of applied art and should be protected by copyright. Its acceptance into the Design Collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York (USA) at the end of 2001 was a high distinction and confirmed the artistic character of the product.
