SofaSofa

As a nation, Brits have been obsessed with watching others watch TV since Gogglebox premiered in 2013. Settling down and relaxing on our own sofas across the nation while watching entertainment unfold on somebody else's is the TV highlight of the week for many.

With millions of viewers tuning into each episode, we can't help but take a glimpse of the interiors we see snippets of – and only wonder what other interior design secrets these everyday stars are hiding.

We can gauge a lot from the sofas these families have chosen to showcase on television; with the sofa being the heart of the home, it can have a huge impact on what other people think of you and your personal style.

So, what do the Gogglebox cast's choice of sofa say about them?

The Malone Family

Family-orientated and pet-friendly (with space for snacks of course) the Malone's choice of sofa has changed over the years, but one thing remains, leather! This reveals the family has a busy life, with children and dogs coming and going, easy-to-clean furniture suits this humble family's hub of the home. Not too large, but just right, this sofa keeps them close like the tight-knit family they are.

Ellie & Izzi

Filming at Ellie's home in Leeds, the northern sister's sofas reveal their chilled, laid-back characters in two typical Yorkshire lasses. With plenty of space to kick back and relax or curl up in the corner, these are the sofas you want to sit on and get a takeaway with it's owners.

The Siddiqui family

Simple with no clutter. Classic and smart, just like them. Well looked after and in pristine condition, it reflects how they come across on TV.

Sophie & Pete

Just like their sense of humour, brother and sister duo Sophie and Pete's choices are certainly out there – with a pink sofa and yellow armchair saying it all! While bold, the colours compliment each other mirroring the comedic pair's quick timings and hilarious one-liners proving that what you see is what you get.

Jenny & Lee

Not too garish, but warm and welcoming, their neutral sofa is reliable and sturdy much like their 20+ year friendship, it won't be giving up on them anytime soon. A neutral beige fabric sofa reveals Jenny and Lee to be the stars of the show, standing out as the vibrant characters they are against the fairly plain setting.
