Eco-friendly cleaning experts Norfolk Natural Living have launched a new product that delivers the same cleaning power of bleach, but none of the nastiness.

Simply named, Alternative Bleach, the all-purpose product can be used in exactly the same way as chlorine bleach, but homeowners can rest assured that like everything else in the Norfolk Natural Living collection, it is environmentally friendly.

Bella Middleton, founder of Norfolk Natural Living, explained: “I am delighted to add Alternative Bleach to our line-up of eco cleaning products.

“We have worked tirelessly to create a product that matches bleach in terms of cleaning power, but is as environmentally friendly as the rest of our portfolio of products."

Norfolk Natural Living's Alternative Bleach contains Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate. When dissolved in water, it releases oxygen which acts as a powerful stain remover and deodoriser.

It breaks down harmlessly to oxygen, water and sodium carbonate and is non-toxic, non-abrasive and environmentally friendly.

Bella added: “This is a firm favourite in our household.

“I add two capfuls to my laundry load to whiten my children's bibs and clothing, and it's also used to clean the floors and degrease baking trays. From sinks and surfaces to tiles, it can be used to clean the entire house.”

The Alternative Bleach is made in Norfolk Natural Living's workshop in Holt, Norfolk.
