Garden and homeware brand, Grand Illusions, has added three new colours to its iconic Vintage Paint range, bringing its premium chalk paint collection to 36 in total.  Part of the Virginia Hayward Group of companies, Grand Illusions has been offering top quality chalk paint and inspiring products for the home and garden for over three decades.

The new additions - Oyster, Conifer, and Bergen – are a nod towards emerging interior trends and popular colour palettes. Pale grey shades like Oyster are the new neutral shades of the moment, slowly replacing white and cream hues on walls and furniture. In keeping with colour trend reports about the popularity of deep teal shades in the coming year, Grand Illusions has also added dark green Conifer and blue Bergen to the range.

Inspired by the authentic historical chalk paint recipes of the 18th century, the Vintage Paint range is made with natural earth pigments, clay, a very small amount of acrylic medium, and has over 46% chalk content which is one of the highest on the market. Dan Haysom, Director at Grand Illusions said: “Our paints are perfect for walls, floors and furniture, and highly suited for the rustic look that is so popular nowadays. The historic colours of the Vintage Paint range are sourced from an international palette, taking inspiration from all over the world.”

Unlike many other chalk paints, Grand Illusions Vintage Paint is plastic and VOC free, making it an eco-friendly option for DIY and renovation enthusiasts. Ideal for both small and larger projects, the paints are available in two sizes, 125ML and 1L.

To support the launch, Grand Illusions has re-designed its paint charts and re-visited the colour labels on its paint tins to ensure customers can see the true colours of the collection.  As part of the enhanced promotion of the Vintage Paint, Grand Illusions is also offering a limited number of painting masterclasses in conjunction with its stockists.

Grand Illusions will showcase the new paint colours and the Autumn/Winter collection of its home and garden ranges at Autumn Fair and Top Drawer this September.
