In August 2018, Rex London is proud to partner with Make-A-Wish® UK with the release of a limited edition recycled Jumbo Storage Bag, exclusively designed by renowned children's author and illustrator Neal Layton. Retailing at £4.95, sales of this bag will raise at least £10,000 for the charity, helping them to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Rex London introduced the concept of the recycled storage bag to the UK and Europe in 2007, launching with a selection of five original designs. The range has expanded, with over 80 designs to date and with sales in excess of three million bags. Made from recycled plastic bottles, the bags are extremely durable and lightweight – a great way to store clothes, linen, toys, Christmas decorations and just about anything else you can think of.
To mark the occasion of their recent rebranding from dotcomgiftshop to Rex London, the company teamed up with Neal Layton to create an exclusive design to adorn one of their Jumbo Storage Bags. Neal is an award-winning illustrator and author of children's books. He has illustrated more than 80 titles to date, working with authors such as Michael Rosen and Cressida Cowell (How to Train your Dragon), and won several prizes including a Gold Award for 'That Rabbit belongs to Emily Brown'. Neal says, “It makes me very proud to think that my design will help raise funds for this wonderful charity.”
Andy Holland, Director of Fundraising, Make-A-Wish says “We are thrilled that Rex London is supporting us through the sale of their limited edition 'Neal Layton' Jumbo Storage Bags. This support will help us to create more life-changing wishes. Granting their One True Wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition.”
Rex London is proud to work with Make-A-Wish, with 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this bag going directly to the charity. Nigel Biggs, company CEO says "I'm delighted to welcome Make-A-Wish as Rex London's new charity partner. Last year they granted life-changing wishes to more than 900 children and young people here in the UK, and we look forward to supporting their activities through the sale of this wonderful new addition to our range of recycled Jumbo Storage Bags. Over the coming months, we will explore other ways to help the work of Make-A-Wish."
The Jumbo Bag will go on sale online at www.rexlondon.com on 1st August 2018.
