Founded with the desire to create simple bath and beauty products that are kind to the skin, Soap Folk offers natural, handmade soap in beautiful gift packaging.

Inspired by natural ingredients found around the Stroud Valleys, 'soapery' founder Fiona McBryde started Soap Folk in 2016, making small batches of handmade soap for her family who were struggling to find natural soap that was gentle enough for their skin.

With the help of local graphic and fabric designer, Susie Hetherington, who created the colourful packaging, Fiona was soon able to branch out and sell the soaps in local Cotswold town, Stroud and Soap Folk was born.

Provenance is an important part of the Soap Folk philosophy and the soaps include locally sourced and grown, ingredients including honey and lavender. All of which are reflected in the wonderfully illustrative packaging, along with a depiction of the rare Adonis Blue butterfly found on the surrounding National Trust Commons.

Each soap has different properties whether calming, restful, soothing or refreshing and each is handmade by Fiona in her 'soapery', currently her kitchen, before being hand stamped and wrapped.

Keen to follow the arts and crafts motto of “beautiful and useful”, these soaps come in a wrapped 115g bar and a round 85g version and make wonderful gifts as well as being a treat for the skin. There are plans to add more toiletries to the collection very soon.
