2015 was certainly a successful year for Honley's own handmade furniture manufacturer, Distinctive Chesterfields, seeing the opening of a flagship showroom in London's St John's Hill in June and another in New York. They capped off the end of a fruitful year back in their hometown, fitting out Punch Bar & Tapas with their own bespoke pieces of handmade chesterfield furniture.

Located on Westgate in the heart of Honley, Punch Bar & Tapas is only a stone's throw from Distinctive Chesterfield's West Yorkshire base. As a company built on strong family values, run by husband and wife team Clare and Steve Laidlaw, and understanding the importance of supporting small local businesses, they were only too happy to partner with the thriving team behind Mustard & Punch who embrace the same values to fit out their new venture, Punch Bar & Tapas.

Opening in mid-November 2015, Punch Bar and Distinctive Chesterfields worked closely to design a range of handmade chesterfield furniture to suit their unique space and plans. Due to their locality, the team at Distinctive Chesterfields were able to personally make several onsite visits in order to measure the space and liaise with the clients to make their vision a reality. Distinctive Chesterfields liaised closely with the frame maker in order to ensure that everything would be perfect for the opening in November, including an awkwardly sized smaller corner booth that was made especially to receive the seat pads.

Distinctive Chesterfields, part of the Comfy Sofa Ltd umbrella, has been trading since 2007 and offers beautiful, handmade chesterfield furniture to its customers.

Making handmade pieces in its West Yorkshire showroom, the company opened a second UK showroom in the London location of Clapham Junction in June 2015, with premises in New York and France launching shortly after.
